Thursday Night with KOINThursday night is a special time for the KOIN. It is a time that we can get together and share with are brothers and sisters what God has been doing in our lives. It allows us to reflect on our week and give glory to our Father in Heaven. He truly does amazing things for us everyday and many times we do not give God his due praise. Thursday nights also allows us a time to share things that we are struggling with, or to request prayers on someone's behalf. We also like to present videos and small devotionals to help us remember who we follow and brings us closer to him during the week.One more activity we love to do is sing. Singing is one of the amazing ways we can praise God, ad we love to praise him. The meetings usually start around 9:00 P.M. Formally we call this time Peaks and Valleys. We each take a 3 by 5 note card and write down something awesome that has happened in our life. We also write down something that has caused us to stumble or something that we desire prayers for. We first share are peaks and then we share our valleys. Someone will volunteer to take your valley and for the next week they make a commitment to pray for your valleys and also your peaks. For the next week you have your very own prayer warrior. Our Thursday night time together has shown us that prayer and fellowship truly works. God has listened to our prayers offered up to him and has blessed us tremendously. We greatly encourage each other to bring friends to this time because it provides us with a setting that is conducive to meeting and welcoming new faces. We have plenty of time and love to meet new people. Last semester we also started doing a biweekly devotional led by one of our own. The devotionals have provided us with insight into the Word of God and were truly a blessing. In spring 2008 we will meet at:
